What does BCTS do?
The goal of BC Timber Sales (BCTS) is to provide credible representative price and cost benchmark data for the Market Pricing System through auctions of timber harvested from public land in BC. Our objectives are: to sell the full BCTS apportionment over the business cycle, consistent with safe practices and sustainable forest management; to generate direct net revenue and indirect revenue for the province over the business cycle; and continuous business improvement.
Position Details:
BCTS is offering forestry and GIS summer student positions. Forestry positions will provide exposure to office and field components of timber sale development along with engineering, road construction, data systems and silviculture. GIS positions will focus on data management, topology, operational planning and map creation. Positions are available in:

Details
Pay Range: $21.98 – $24.60 per hour, 35 hours per week. Lesser qualified applicants may be considered at a lower rate.
Additional Information: Field positions require employees to have their own field gear including cruisers vest, caulk boots and rain gear.
